Stalker Notification Form April 29, 2004 Re: California Stalking Law 646.9, Case No.__________ Jane Doe Dear Jane Doe: The purpose of this letter is to inform you that from this date forward any
contact by you, or a third party, via U.S. Mail, fax, e-mail, telephone, pager,
personal contact, or any other form of electronic communication device to
(Victim’s name) or her family (Names of family members) will be deemed an act of
stalking and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Your conduct
has made Ms. (victim’s name) fearful for her safety and the safety of her
immediate family. California Penal Code Section 646.9 (a) states: “Any person who willfully,
maliciously, and repeatedly follows or willfully and maliciously harasses
another person and who makes a credible threat with the intent to place that
person in reasonable fear for his or her safety, or the safety of his or her
immediate family is guilty of the crime of stalking, punishable by imprisonment
in a county jail for not more than one year, or by a fine of not more than one
thousand dollars ($1,000), or by both that fine and imprisonment, or
imprisonment in the state prison (for 16 months, 2 years or 3 years).” It is imperative that you also know that (Victim) has secured a (Protective
Order/Restraining Order) against you and any violation of that order exposes you
to immediate arrest and prosecution. Sr. Investigator John Doe, of the (Law Enforcement Agency name), personally
